Terms and Conditions for users of the learning centre website operated by Serco Education

Definitions - the following definitions shall apply:

"Serco Education" is a subsidiary of Serco Ltd (a company incorporated in England and Wales [registered no. 242246] whose registered office is at Serco House, 16 Bartley Wood Business Park, Bartley Way, Hook, Hampshire, RG27 9UY), who (directly or indirectly) are the provider of training services under these terms and conditions.

Serco Education is the operator of the learning centre website www.leadershiplearningcentre.com.

"Serco Education or its leadership partners" includes academic or other delivery partners who may deliver programmes with or on behalf of Serco Education.  Partner names are provided within the individual programme details.

"Programme" means the relevant training programme, course, service or activity provided by (or via) Serco Education or its leadership partners.

By accessing and continuing to use this website users acknowledge and undertake to comply with this disclaimer. Serco (trading as Serco Education and part of Serco Group Plc)  retains the right to amend this disclaimer as and when it deems appropriate without notice.

These terms and conditions apply to users of the Serco Education learning centre website. Additional programme specific terms and conditions apply once enrolled onto a programme or course.

Registration and application processes

Applications for programmes are made online. Applicants must first register with the learning centre website to become a site user and to access application forms and learning resources. This is a technical requirement for the learning management system to link users with a particular programme or course.

Applicants can then proceed and complete an online application. Once submitted, it will be reviewed and approved (as appropriate) by the relevant Serco Education programme team. Acceptance onto your programme of choice may incur programme fees which are detailed in the specific programme information.

Your details will be kept securely by Serco Education (and/or its academic partners) and will not be passed on to any other third parties.

Online forums

Contributions to the online discussion groups or forums, etc., must not be defamatory of anyone, or be likely to upset or embarrass anyone. When making contributions you must not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity. Any complaints regarding inappropriate use of the online network will be investigated in line with our complaints procedure. Learning centre accounts can be cancelled at Serco Education’s discretion.

Security

You are responsible for all of the activities that occur under your login and password and for keeping your learning centre password confidential at all times. You will be required to set a security question at registration stage and this will be used to verify your details, together with other appropriate checks, should you need to re-set your password.

If you suspect or are aware of any breach of your account, contact the learning centre web team immediately. E: learningcentre.info@serco.com or T: 01452 727272 (office hours)

You can update your email address or password by accessing your User Profile. Required fields are shown by a red asterisk (please do not attempt to change other pre-defined settings that may be displayed).

Personal data

Serco Education will process information about you in accordance with its Privacy Policy.  Serco Education delivers certain programmes through its academic partners (these are named on the specific programme information pages). We may need to share some of your personal details with a partner who may deliver a programme on our behalf in your region. We do not pass on any personal data or contact details to any third parties for marketing purposes. Serco Education is fully compliant with the latest data protection regulations. See also our Privacy Notice.

Cookie Statement

This website makes minimal use of cookies. Cookies must be enabled in your browser. Two cookies are used by this site:

The essential one is the session cookie, usually called 'MoodleSession'. You must allow this cookie into your browser to provide continuity and maintain your login from page to page. When you log out or close the browser this cookie is destroyed (in your browser and on the server).

The other cookie is purely for convenience, usually called, for example, 'MOODLEID', or similar. It just remembers your username within the browser (if you select 'Remember username' option). This means when you return to this site the username field on the login page will be already filled out for you. It is safe to refuse this cookie - you will just have to retype your username every time you log in. See also our full Cookie Statement.

Accessibility

Serco (trading as Serco Education and part of Serco Group Plc) is committed to ensuring that all aspects of its websites are accessible.
