1. What information do we collect?

You may be asked to submit personal information about yourself (contact information, role, employer information, funding or payment information, etc.) as part of the application process and in order to receive or use our services. (N.B: In many application areas on this site there are printable examples of each application form that you can review to see exact information required to apply).

2. What do we use personal information for? 

Serco Education will use your data to communicate with you if you have applied or enrolled onto one of our programmes.

The personal data collected through the online application process is required for: 

  • Reviewing eligibility
  • Collecting and administering course payments
  • Maintaining contact with the participant
  • Delivering the programme content, sometimes through a partner organisation
  • Enrolling participants onto relevant learning platform
  • Sending in-programme assignment outcomes and final results

The above personal details are required by us so that we can deliver the programme that you have applied for.

3. How do we use your information?

We are committed to ensuring that your personal information is protected and you understand how it is used. Serco Education is compliant with the latest data protection regulations (GDPR/ Data Protection Act 2018).  We will store your personal details securely at all times and keep them on file for the duration of the programme(s) you are enrolled on, and for purposes of occasionally communicating any further relevant programmes to you afterwards. In addition, your preferred email address and phone number will be securely shared with your facilitator and our delivery partners and/or relevant funding agencies (as appropriate to the programme) so that they can contact you regarding this programme. Other than this, we do not share your data with any other third parties and we do not pass on any personal data or contact details to any third parties outside Serco for marketing purposes.

Academic records will be maintained normally for a period up to 10 years by Serco, or a partner organisation, from the end of your programme completion, or other period as might be required to meet contractual obligations with a third party organisation (such as DfE or ESFA or other government agency). We need to keep your records after programme completion to provide a service for post-completion enquiries, e.g. replacement certificates or completion details.

4. What is a cookie?

When you enter our site your computer will automatically be issued with a cookie. Cookies are devices that identify your computer to our server and personalise the site for your future use. Cookies only record the areas of our site that a computer has visited. A cookie will not provide us with any personal information. Therefore, if you have not supplied us with any personal information, you can still browse our site anonymously. If you do not want a cookie you can set your browser to deny it. 5. IP Address

If you are connected to the Internet you will have an IP Address. The address will be automatically collected and logged as part of the connection of your computer to our web server and may be used to determine the total number of visits to each part of the site. If there is a security breach the Internet Service Provider will identify the relevant IP Address and the user may be contacted.

6. Scope of this policy

This privacy policy only covers the Serco Education website at www.leadershiplearningcentre.com. Links within this site to other websites are not covered by this policy.
