  • Programme Details

The Level 3 Award in Leadership & Management (course code: 455) has been developed specifically for support staff in the Independent school sector (Independent Schools Bursars Association members only) wishing to gain a basic understanding of leadership and / or considering taking up a leadership role. This 9-week programme will also allow participants to better their understanding of leadership styles and qualities, and to identify strategies for their own development and that of their team members.

The Level 3 Award will help participants to:

    • understand leadership styles
    • understand leadership qualities and review their own leadership qualities and potential
    • know how to identify development needs
    • know how to develop self and others to achieve organisational objectives
    • Programme Structure

The programme, available only to ISBA (Independent Schools Bursars Association) members, is delivered through a blended learning approach which begins with a one day face-to-face workshop. The remainder of the programme is online which allows the flexibility to study at a time and pace that best suits the participants as key dates and deadlines are clearly signposted at the beginning of the programme.

Online studies include a series of tasks to stimulate thinking of the subject matter and encourage engagement with appropriate concepts and techniques.  Support is provided throughout the programme by an experienced facilitator from the independent sector and the programme will end by completing a work-based assignment.

There are no eligibility criteria or pre-course requirements.
